Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policies

All Saints’ CE Primary and Nursery School

At All Saints’ CE Primary and Nursery School, we are committed to creating a safe, caring and respectful environment where every child is valued and encouraged to flourish. Rooted in our Christian vision and values, our approach to behaviour and anti-bullying supports children to develop self-discipline, empathy and a strong sense of responsibility towards others.

Our Behaviour Procedures sit in the line with the JTMAT Behaviour Policy and is based on clear expectations, consistency and positive relationships. We believe that good behaviour is learned and that children thrive when they feel secure, understood and supported. Staff model high standards of conduct and encourage children to make positive choices through praise, encouragement and restorative approaches.

Our Anti-Bullying Policy reflects the JTMAT's firm belief that bullying of any kind is unacceptable. At All Saints’, bullying is defined as behaviour that is deliberate, repeated and intended to hurt or upset another person. We actively promote a culture of respect, kindness and inclusion, where differences are celebrated and every child feels safe to be themselves.

Children are taught how to recognise bullying, what to do if it occurs, and how to seek help. We encourage open communication and ensure that all concerns are taken seriously and addressed promptly. Any incidents of bullying are carefully investigated and dealt with in line with our policy, with support provided for both those affected and those responsible.

Our Restrictive Physical Intervention (RPI) Procedures set out how we keep pupils and staff safe in rare and exceptional circumstances. While our approach is rooted in positive relationships, de-escalation and preventative strategies, there may be occasions where a child’s behaviour places themselves or others at risk of harm. In these situations, staff may need to use proportionate and reasonable physical intervention as a last resort. The policy ensures that any such action is safe, appropriate and in line with statutory guidance, while maintaining the dignity and wellbeing of all pupils. It also provides clarity for staff and reassurance for parents.

Our home-school agreement helps everyone work together to support children’s learning and wellbeing. It explains what the school, parents, and pupils each agree to do. By sharing responsibilities, it creates clear expectations, encourages good behaviour, and builds strong communication, helping every child feel safe, supported, and ready to achieve.
