Number Day - February 7th 2025

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are delighted to be taking part, alongside our JTMAT friends, in Number Day. This will take place on Friday 7th February. We are taking part in several activities to support this:

* Children are invited, should they wish, to dress up in a way that celebrates numbers. They might like to wear a sporting shirt with a number on, or even something more creative!

* KS2 children will be taking part in a MAT-wide Times Tables Rock Stars championship, running from 3rd-7th February. Teachers will ensure all children have their logins and are able to take part at home as well as at school. 

* KS1 children will be taking part in a number bonds challenge in school.

* Finally, there is an optional JTMAT competition, set as a challenge to do at home. The question is: What Maths can you do with a packet of Skittles? (I have been informed that recording the time it takes to eat them is not an acceptable response!) Entries should be posted to X (Twitter) with the hashtag #JTMATnumberday - there's no need to post your child in the picture, if you would prefer not to. 

We will be sharing this with children in assembly on Monday and hope they look forward to the challenges.
