Friday 27th March

This week's spellings -

After Easter, our spelling quiz will be on Mondays.

Morning routine -  After the holidays, as we are entering the final term in Year 2, I would like to encourage the children to come to the classroom door independently. This will help to prepare them for the transition to KS2. Well done to those children who already do this. If you do need to speak to me in the mornings please do come round to the classroom.

Thank you for your continuous support. I hope you have a wonderful Easter break.

Mrs Lewis

In English, we have been exploring the text ‘Visit the UK!’ which is an example of persuasive writing. When we return after the Easter holidays, we will be writing our own persuasive text in the form of a class travel brochure with a focus on all the skills we have learnt. I think the children will enjoy the freedom of writing about a place that inspires them and that they are familiar with. With this in mind, if the children visit anywhere during the Easter break, whether this be a park in the local area or further afield, they may bring in a photograph as a prompt for their writing to explain what people can do there, describe what it is like and persuade people to visit. Photographs can be emailed to me if that is easier, in preparation for our first English lesson on Monday 13th April.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Lewis
